Recently, the Annual Health Awards 2009 were presented.
The Winners from our institution were the following
researchers:
Dr. María Guadalupe Guzmán. Ph.D., for her
investigation:
"Dengue and Hemorrhagic Dengue, Cuba,
1981-2005".

IPK's 70th Anniversary |

During the Closing Session of the
VIII Central American and Caribbean
Congress of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine, held
from 4-7 December 2007, Dr. Gregorio Delgado García,
Medical Historian of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba and
Head Professor of the Department of History of the Public Health
at the National Public Health School, delivered the lecture
entitled "The Pedro Kourí Tropical Medicine Institute in the
70th Anniversary of its Foundation (1937-2007)". The
